Paulien and Pieterjan decided to get married in Amsterdam. The day was filled with raisin bread, admiring the display of The Otherist, thunderous applause from people passing by on boats and bikes, friends practicing their version of “All you need is love” on the ferry, flags and fairy lights by the water. I remember the sun starting to shine just when the ceremony got to the part of the vows. Music, all day long. Friends and family having a hard time suppressing their tears when Pieterjan’s father sang a song he wrote himself. Dancing with the view of Amsterdam by night. There’s so much to tell about this incredibly personal wedding. About love multiplying itself by the waterside. About limitless longing and fierce partying. About a wonderfully beautiful wedding, and a grateful wedding photographer.
